When My Favorite Sailed the Gulf of Morbihan

Quand Ma Préférée a navigué sur le Golfe du Morbihan

Its traditional black hull, its bright yellow stripe, but above all... its
deep blue sails that stand out beautifully against the blue of the Morbihan sky.
This boat is "Ma Préférée", a sinagot not quite like the others,
which has become a true local icon.

From "Petit Navire" to local legend

Why these blue sails, when tradition dictates that sinagots
should have ochre or brick-red sails? The secret lies in a filming anecdote!
This unusual set of sails was originally made for a television
commercial for the famous "Petit Navire" brand.
The result was so spectacular that "Ma Préférée" kept them, giving it immediate
recognition. Today, spotting this "blue sinagot" is a sign
of good luck for boaters in the Gulf.

Did you know? "Ma Préférée" is classified as a Boat of Heritage Interest
(BIP). It is a true piece of history sailing before your eyes.

A story of passion and tradition

Built in 1981 from the plans of a 1933 ancestor, this proud vessel has lived
several lives: first as a training boat for the Éclaireurs de France under the name
"Lieutenant Nicolas Benoit", it is now cherished by the "Les
Vieilles Voiles de Rhuys" association under the name Ma Préférée.

Inspired by this icon of the Gulf, we created the "Ma Préférée" Knife.
With its deep azure blue handle reminiscent of the sails of the famous
sinagot,
